Robotics Team Needs Sponsors

The Roboforce team bested 61 other winning teams from around the state, and was invited to be the one and only team to represent the state of New Jersey and participate in the 2016 FLL World Festival which will be held in St. Louis, Missouri April 27th-30th.

On December 12th, 2015, the Roboforce Robotics First Lego League (FLL) team from Somerset County 4-H, won the first place "Champions Award" in the NJ State FLL competition. FLL is an international competition organized by FIRST for elementary and middle school students. Our team consists of 8 Middle School students from Bridgewater who are members of a 4-H robotics club.

The Roboforce team bested 61 other winning teams from around the state, and was invited to be the one and only team to represent the state of New Jersey and participate in the 2016 FLL World Festival which will be held in St. Louis, Missouri April 27th-30th. Out of 16,762 teams in the world participating in the FLL competition they are one of only 108 teams that will be attending the World Festival in April.

While attending the World Festival is an honor, it also very costly. We are fundraising to defray the cost of approximately $10,000 in tournament fees, booth setup and travel related costs. We are looking for Corporate Sponsors for our team. Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will be displayed in our booth. Businesses making donations greater than $200 will get their logos placed on the back of our t-shirts, identifying them as one of our team sponsors to the thousands of attendees at this event.

If you would like to sponsor our team, please send your contribution to the address on this letterhead. Checks should be made payable to "Somerset County 4-H Association" and make a note that it is for the Roboforce Club FLL team. The Somerset County 4-H Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible and a receipt can be provided if needed.
